Bridge Construction - HWY 893, North of Islay

Please be advised of bridge construction, Phase 2 temporary bridge closure, at night on August 12 & 13, 2025.  The bridge will be closed for repair operations.  

A local detour will be in effect, please follow signage to use alternate routes.  Traffic heavier than 10 tonnes is not permitted on the detour, please use the nearest provincial highway.

The speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr through construction zones.  Flag persons or signal lights will be present to control traffic through the construction zone in alternating traffic patterns.  Motorists should be prepared to stop and obey all construction signage and speed limits when driving through the area.
