HWY 897 at Lea Park Bridge Closed for Repairs

Travelers will face a major detour starting today, October 17, 2025, as workers undertake bridge repairs on the Lea Park Bridge, on Highway 897.
Transportation and Economic Corridors is requiring an indefinite closure to allow workers time to repair the bridge.
Signs will be placed to direct traffic to the detour route. TWP 542 is not permitted for detoured heavy traffic. Please use HWY 45, HWY 646 or HWY 893 as alternate routes.
Motorists should use caution in this area. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
