MDP & LUB Review
Land Use Bylaw (LUB) & Municipal Development Plan (MDP)
The Municipal Development Plan (MDP) Bylaw 19-03 effectively sets out the long term strategy for development and growth in the County. Items that are included in the MDP are subdivision regulations, sustainability initiatives and the identification of zoning areas to name a few. The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) 19-02 is the day to day regulatory document that governs and controls the use and development of land in the County. This document outlines the various zoning districts and those activities that are permitted. Further, the LUB outlines setbacks, spacing, permit requirements etc.
The County of Vermilion River is currently undergoing an extensive review of their Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan with the assistance of Municipal Planning Services. Please stay tuned to this page for regular updates. A draft copy for public review should be ready for viewing in the fall of 2022.
