Vermilion Public Library

Location: The public library is located downtown next to the firehall at 5001 49 avenue. The library’s hours operation are on our google listing and website.

Mandate: We are tasked with providing library service for the Vermilion area. Our mission is to provide and promote library and information resources in a public space, accessible and welcoming to all. Resources are a broad category and can mean anything from a book to a GPS unit. Look up our diverse collection of physical and digital collections on http://tracpac.ab.ca

Services Offered: The Library offers three areas of services: facility, borrowing, and programs. Our facility offers public computers, technology help, meeting space, wifi, and a relaxing atmosphere to sit quietly and read, or interact with others. Borrowing services require a library card and give our users access to our collection of resources and to order items not available here but located at other libraries. Library programs aim to meet the diverse needs of our community, whether that be skill building courses, preparing children for kindergarten, or offering opportunities for lifelong learners.
