All County of Vermilion River 2023 property tax notices have now been mailed. If you haven’t received a copy of your Combined Assessment and Tax Notice by the 2ND week of July, please contact the Tax Department at 780-846-2244 or email taxes@county24.com.
Payment deadline for the 2023 property tax is October 2, 2023. Please note that some banks may be closed on October 2, 2023 for National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. To avoid late payment penalties, please be aware of processing times and cut off deadlines of your financial institution.
Any property tax payment made after October 2, 2023 is subject to a late payment penalty of 8%. A further penalty of 6% will be applied to tax arrears on January 16, 2024 and May 2, 2024, respectively.
Payments can be made via the following payment methods:
- Online banking-Select Vermilion River Taxes as the Payee. Your tax roll number is the account number
- Mail-Box 69, Kitscoty AB, T0B 2P0. Make Cheque payable to County of Vermilion River. Please write your tax roll number on your cheque
- In person-4912 50 Avenue, Kitscoty AB. Cheques are accepted 24/7 in the drop box at the County office. Please write your tax roll number on your cheque.
- Online with your credit card-Pay through Credit Card Payments - County of Vermilion River. For a fee, you can pay using MasterCard or Visa. Allow 1-2 business days for processing.
- Tax Installment Payment Plan-Pay your taxes in monthly installments. To enroll, visit our website, or contact the Tax Department at taxes@county24.com
