Snow Plowing of Lane Ways
Are you ready for winter? The county will be offering the snow plowing of lane ways as an optional service again this year and we encourage you to obtain a flag early so you are ready for the first blizzard.
This service provides for clearing snow, from the approach access to the residence on the land. When a flag is purchased, a waiver of liability is signed and the flag is put out so that it is visible to indicate that the service is requested.
The cost for this service is as follows:
- If waiver and flag(s) are picked up at the County Office - $30 each
- If waiver is faxed, flag mailed or invoicing required - $40 each
Special Notice: To residents with lanes that require snow removal because they are a School Bus Turnaround location, authorized by Buffalo Trail Regional Division #28, YOU WILL REQUIRE A NEW FLAG THIS YEAR. This flag can be obtained from your bus driver after a waiver has been signed.
Note that generally during blizzard conditions the school routes and main roads are cleared before lane ways with the goal of clearing all roads and lanes within three days of the last storm.
