Dust Control Program
Effective 1991, the County Council initiated a program of dust control application which requires the property owner to pay a portion of the cost.
Those individuals, or groups of individuals, who wish the County to apply dust control material to portions of municipal roads MUST MAKE APPLICATION ON THE PRESCRIBED FORM AVAILABLE AT THE COUNTY OFFICE. All persons making a group application must sign the form.
A fee of $10 per lineal meter for the first 100 meters and for each additional meter of dust control, the cost will be $20 per lineal meter to a maximum of 200 meters per rate payer, plus GST, will be payable upon filing the application. There will be a minimum of 100 meters.
The deadline application for the 2009 dust control program is June 15, 2009. Any application received after this deadline may not be accepted.
The application of the dust control material will be done by June 29, 2009, weather permitting.
