How to Check for Household Water Leaks

Your water meter can be helpful to determine if you have a water leak. If the low flow indicator is moving and you are not using water, the usual suspect is a leaking toilet (the leak can be silent). Try turning the toilet valve off to verify. A $20 part will save you money.
We are more likely to notice leaks indoors, but don’t forget to check outdoor faucets, sprinklers and hoses!
