Big Gully Stormwater Management Plan
Project Objectives:
The Big Gully Stormwater Management Plan:
-
Identifies the important physical, hydrological, and metrological parameters that govern the quantity and quality of runoff in the basin.
-
Identifies the drainage system and its interconnections including channels, wetlands and hydraulic structures (culverts, bridges, etc.).
-
Identifies existing problems, issues and weaknesses in the drainage system including flooding, inadequate conveyance capacity and environmental issues.
-
Includes a computer model that can adequately predict flow volumes and rates along all significant flow channels in the basin. The model will be capable of analyzing the impacts of development and mitigative measures.
-
The plan recommends works to address current issues.
-
The plan provides guidelines for future developments including stormwater plan requirements, design parameters and protection of aquatic features.
-
Includes an implementation plan with cost estimates, financing approaches and requirements for regulatory approvals.
